Celebrating Foundation Day

Deepak Foundation celebrated its 33rd Foundation day on October 2, 2015 with the inauguration of a new ward at the hospital in Nandesari. The event was initiated with inauguration of the new wards by Shri Madhu Srivastav (MLA, Waghodia), Mrs. Ila Mehta (Trustee), Dr. Riddhi Mehta and Smt. Archana Joshi (Director, Deepak Foundation).

Inaugration of Deep Mahila Co-operative Credit Society Limited, Nandesari

As a step towards the sustainable growth of Self Help Groups, Deepak Foundation has formed the “Deep Mahila Co-operative Credit Society Limited” registered under District Registrar Office, Vadodara. This initiative provides the rural women with a recognized platform for ensuring economic independence through several saving options and development of sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Inaugration of Mobile Health Unit and Mobile Library in Roha, Raigad District

Deepak Foundation, as part of the DNL’s CSR wing, has initiated a Mobile Health Unit and Mobile Library serving the tribal population of about 45,000 residing in 25 villages surrounding the DNL plant in Roha block of Raigad district. The CSR Initiatives were inaugurated on December 18, 2015 in the presence of Shri. Umesh Asaikar (Executive Director, DNL), Mr. Sunil Desai (DNL Plant Head, Roha), Mr. Ambulkar (DNL HR Head, Roha) and other staff members of DNL and Deepak Foundation.

Deepak Foundation through its partnership with VIKSAT and under the sponsorship of Ministry of Environment and Forests ,Government of India (GoI) conducted a training program at Angadh village for the Women Dairy Cooperatives (WDCS) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) to promote organic farming and build a more sustainable and safe environment.

Health Camp in Ashram Schools of Roha, Maharashtra

The Mobile Health Unit (MHU) team at Roha organized a health camp in the ashram schools, a residential school for tribal children, within Roha block on March 11, 2016.During the camp, students, teachers and non-teaching staff members were screened for health problems. Moreover, students were instructed on nutritional intake and personal hygiene and the school was provided with an “Emergency Health Kit”.
