Empowering Women |

The Foundation believes that empowerment of women can be achieved through the following critical actions: |

Providing sustainable livelihood

Affirming the access to and control over material, financial and intellectual resources

Ensuring that the economic contribution of the women to the family is significant so that wsomen can increase their “bargaining power” – their ability to express their individual preferences within the family

Enhancing self-confidence and self-esteem which leads to a significant change in the attitudes of the community

Establishing spaces and support systems to sustain the process of their empowerment

With this vision in mind, insightful Livelihood Projects were implemented. Livelihood Projects are currently running in 3 blocks of Vadodara district including Nandesari, Chhota Udepur and Kawant and 2 blocks of Surendranagar district including Halvad and Dhrangadhara. The projects focus on women in the communities. The main components of the Livelihood project include:

Other Activities : Other income generating activities,
such as handicrafts making, Pithora painting by tribal women, vermicompost preparation, vegetable cultivation (pilot activity), preparation of
baby kit etc are undertaken as per demand in the community  |
