POSH Training: Undertaking regional level- one day training of trainers on sexual Harassment of women at work place.(Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) act, 2013

Sexual harassment of women at the workplace is an extension of violence in everyday life and is discriminatory, as it affects women’s right to life and livelihood. In India, for the first time in 1997, after the brutal gang-rape of Rajasthan social worker Bhanwaridevi, the fundamental rights of working women were enforced. According to the Gazette of India published by the Ministry of Law and Justice on April 23, 2013, “Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Prevention) Act, 2013, every employer shall constitute a committee of work. This committee is known as “Internal Committee”. It is mandatory for the employer to organize workshops or training to sensitize his employees with the provisions of the Act.
Objectives of the project:
• As per the requirement of GRC, the objectives of the assignment would be as under:
• To develop a one-day training module for sensitization on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 based on guidelines of Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD)
• To conduct 10 batches (25 participants each) of Training of Trainer (TOT) as per the schedule of GRC.
