Key Programmes

Project Sangaath: Bridging Gaps, Building Futures

Project Sangaath is implemented across 17 locations, including three newly added sites in Gujarat and Maharashtra. It is a technology-driven project aimed at enhancing the reach of Government schemes and programs to eligible beneficiaries. Based on government’s mandate, newer schemes added to the basket of choices offered through the Jan Suvidha Kendras. At Jan Suvidha Kendras, the facilitator offers services like information on various schemes, along with filling applications, outreach activities for doorstep delivery of information and form filling, follow up visits and lamination of key pre-requisite documents. The Adhikaar Card, a unique QR based technology, offers a basket of choices by enlisting the various schemes the beneficiaries can choose based on eligibility profile.

Project Sneh: Nourishing the Future

Project Sneh runs its mission of addressing malnutrition among young children in the Gyaraspur block, Madhya Pradesh. The program delivered over 3.7 million hot-cooked nutritious meals to children aged 6 to 72 months supported by American India Foundation. Central to its success was the capacity building of 300 women of Self-Help Groups managing 100 SHG-mini-kitchens and 2 Community Kitchens—trained and mentored to ensure consistent, hygienic, and locally adapted meal preparation. The project exemplifies how grassroots leadership, when empowered, can combat challenges like child malnutrition. Nutri gardens were promoted to enable local availability of vegetables for meal preparation.

Advancing social change through Research

Our research and evaluation services are designed to generate actionable evidence that strengthens development initiatives and drives meaningful social change. Over the years, our portfolio has grown substantially, encompassing a wide range of studies such as needs assessments, rapid assessments, and impact evaluations undertaken for diverse stakeholders across multiple regions.

Demographic Surveillance Studies(DSS)

DSS focuses on gathering comprehensive information on socio-economic and demographic characteristics, agricultural and livestock practices, utilisation of government schemes, overall health status, and treatment-seeking behaviour. These surveys are carried out as cross-sectional assessments, allowing for regular tracking of community conditions. Over successive rounds, a consistent group of households has been retained to form a longitudinal panel, offering richer insights into evolving trends and changes within the community. The annual findings offer valuable understanding of population dynamics, program reach, and community health, helping the Foundation design and refine evidence-based interventions.

National Family Health Survey – Round 6 (NFHS-6)

Deepak Foundation conducted field operations for the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-6) in Gujarat West, Daman and Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India.
