Abhivruddhi, FPO

“Abhivruddhi” an initiative of Deepak Foundation, was launched to fulfil the Government of India’s vision of implementing a scheme for establishing 10,000 Farmer Producers Organizations (FPOs) across the country. As a Community-Based Beneficiary Organization (CBBO), the project aims to support 25 FPOs in nine districts across three states; Gujarat, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The vision is to ensure effective capacity building to FPOs to develop agriculture entrepreneurship skills so that they can become self-sustaining beyond government support. Out of these 25 FPO, 16 FPOs are registered under the Farmers Producer Company Act (2013) and 9 FPOs are registered under the Cooperative Act (1962).

Achievements 2024-25

  • Promoted 25 FPOs with handholding support, including 16 registered under the Farmers Produce Company Act (2013) and 09 under the Cooperative Act (1962), covering 642 villages.
  • 10,316 farmers as shareholders of FPOs.
  • Authorized share capital of ₹3.70 Crore and paid-up share capital of ₹1.84 Crore.
  • Achieved cumulative business turnover of ₹6.65 Crore with ₹2.3 Crore cumulative profit and ₹28.2 Lakh profit during 2024-25.
  • Market and credit linkages established for 24 FPOs.
  • 22 FPOs engaged in agro inputs, commodities, and value-added products.

Financial Support for FPO’s:

  • Facilitated Rs. 156.71 lakh as FPO management cost and Rs. 84.19 lakh as Matching equity grant against Member Contribution From NABARD, NCDC and NAFED For 24 FPOs Since 2021-22 to 2024-25.
  • Facilitated Rs.60.47 lakh FPO management cost in 18 FPOs and Rs. 35.53 lakh as Matching equity grant in 11 FPOs From NABRAD,NCDC & NAFED in F.Y 2024-25
  • Linked 20 FPOs with financial institutions like NABKISAN, Bank of Baroda, Samunnati Finance, and BGGB.
  • Working Capital Loan of Rs. 2.30 Cr Sanctioned by NCDC For 9 Cooperatibe FPOs.
