The Indian government has mandated corporations execute yearly wellness checks on their employees. This was a component of the Ministry of Labor and Employment’s draft code on working conditions, occupational safety, and health. Dahej lacked a dependable and fully operational laboratory in this regard. For routine medical examinations as well as pre- and post-employment medical examinations of its staff, the industrial units in Dahej had partnerships with medical laboratories in Bharuch.
However, it was difficult to consistently deliver the samples to the test labs uncontaminated because of the distance and unreliable transportation, with contamination being a major concern. To fill this gap the Deepak Pathology Laboratory & Diagnostic Centre (DPLDC) & Occupational Health Centre (OHC) Under the Deepak Foundation (DF), was established to aid the underprivileged in these rural and remote regions
Due to the Foundation’s extensive expertise providing medical and public health services in rural and tribal areas, the finest Pathology Laboratory & Diagnostic Center and OHC have been established. Additionally, DPLDC achieved NABL accreditation, demonstrating its dedication to dependable and high-quality diagnoses. It also has a skilled group of pathologists, CIH physicians, lab technicians, and staff nurses. Pre-employment and periodic physicals, industrial safety training, community health camps, and OHC intervention consulting are among the services provided by DPLDC & OHC.
Hematology biochemistry, microscopic analysis, ECG, X-ray, audiometry, and spirometry are among the tests available at the laboratory. As a civil organization, the foundation strives to provide fair care by believing that everyone should have access to high-quality treatments at reasonable costs.
